Q: What is body butter?
A: Body butter is a skin moisturizer that is solid at room temperature - similar to actual butter, body butter is the oils, fats, and protein components of various seeds and nuts. Similar to regular lotion, body butter will keep skin soft and hydrated. It differs from regular lotion in that there is no water content - body butter is made solely with plant nut butters and oils. That's why body butter is much thicker than your average lotion, but also why it is much more powerful! Without any water, there is so much more room for high quality, nutrient rich, skin repairing plant power.
Q: Are Pretty Conscious products Vegan?
A: All of our products are vegan and cruelty free! Only tested human families. Animals are our friends, not ingredients!
Q: Do your products contain preservatives?
A: Our body products do not contain any synthetic preservatives, that being said, we do use natural ingredients that extend the shelf life of the product but they will still go bad if not properly taken care of. Body Butters & Beauty Oils should be kept away from water to avoid contamination or spoilage of product.
Q: How can you ensure safety without preservatives?
Our Beauty Oils & Body Butter products are oil based, and contain no water, therefore there is much less opportunity for bacteria to grow. That being said, we urge our customers to keep their products in a cool, dry, place, and use clean, dry hands when applying the lotion. We suggest keeping your lotion by your bed or dresser, applying after showering and drying off.
Q: How do I know if my stuff has gone bad?
If you use the body butters daily, they will be gone way before six months! However, if your product starts to smell bad or changes color, it might be time to let it go. If you notice anything concerning about the butters please send us an email at info@ PrettyConscious.co and we will be glad to help you.
Q: How long will it take to receive my items?
A: Body Butters and Bath Soaks are made to order, therefore it will take between 3-5 business days to prepare order and ship. We use USPS Priority Shipping which can take between 1-3 Business days to be delivered depending on location the package is going.
Q: Is your packaging eco friendly?
A: Yes! We use recyclable packaging and shipping materials. You may repurpose your body butter and body oil bottles/containers to give them a second life or recycle them with like materials. Shipping boxes, tape, stickers, and paper, are all recyclable as well.

RESULTS MAY VARY DEPENDING ON SKIN TYPE, LIFESTYLE AND CONSISTENT USAGE. PLEASE CONSULT WITH DOCTOR IF IRRITATION OCCURS, DISCONTINUE USE. INGREDIENTS IN OUR OILS AND BUTTERS ARE SHELF STABLE FOR ABOUT 4-6 MONTHS IF CARED FOR PROPERLY.
